Fear Daily Devoitional - Feb 19

February 19
Deuteronomy 31:8

8: And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” 

Comment:

We were just here yesterday weren’t we?  I love it when the Lord repeats Himself, don’t you?  I figure it means the message is doubly important.  And this one is for me for sure! 

Reminds me of the President of the United States when he enters the Senate Chambers to give he State of the Union speech.  There are people in front of him (going before him) moving people out of the way.  They also are protecting him from the outstretched arms of anyone he many not want to connect with at the moment.  Isn’t that a great thought?  God, the creator of the Universe, goes before us, to make a way for us.  I think the demons will move and be afraid to touch us when they see Him coming, don’t you?  

I don’t know about you but I have some places where I really need someone to go before me, to make a way and to remind me not to fear or be dismayed!  To know that He is standing with me, no matter how things look is a promise I really need to grab a hold of today and hang on for dear life.  I will pray for you today, will you pray for me? 

Lord, thank you for going before us and making a way, often when there seems to be no way!  Thank you that you never leave me or forsake me.  Help me to never fear or be dismayed! Amen.
